Discover the Garden Route starting from Port Elizabeth, where you can visit Tsitsikamma, take in the views from the Storms River Bridge, explore the attractions in Oudtshoorn, and enjoy the beautiful Cape Winelands.
Guests will set off for the Garden Route around midday. This beautiful area is known for its rich ecological diversity, nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Tsitsikamma mountains.
Lunch will be enjoyed in Tsitsikamma (at guests’ own expense), followed by a brief stroll to the Storms River Mouth suspension bridge.
Upon arrival at the hotel in Knysna, guests can unwind and enjoy some leisure time before dinner (at guests’ own expense).
Overnight at Premier Hotel The Moorings Knysna or a similar accommodation – Breakfast included.
After a fulfilling breakfast, guests will head to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo. This morning’s journey offers a chance to capture stunning photos of the Knysna Lagoon and the Knysna Heads.
As they travel inland to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, guests will pass through the scenic Outeniqua Mountain Pass and arrive just in time for lunch (at guests’ own expense) at an ostrich farm on the outskirts of town, where they can take a tractor tour (at guests’ own expense) to learn about the ostrich industry.
In the Cango Valley, guests will explore the breathtaking underground world of the Cango Caves (at guests’ own expense). After checking into the hotel, they can spend the afternoon at their leisure, discovering the lovely countryside and enjoying dinner (at guests’ own expense).
Overnight at Protea Hotel by Marriott Riempie Estate or a similar accommodation – Breakfast included.
Following breakfast, the tour will head west along Route 62 and through the Cape Winelands towards Cape Town. Route 62 is renowned for its stunning and varied landscapes, often considered the longest wine route in the world.
Lunch will be taken along the way (at guests’ own expense). Guests will visit a wine estate for a delightful cheese and wine pairing, followed by a guided cellar tour in the Robertson Wine Valley (at guests’ own expense).
Guests will arrive at their hotel in Cape Town in the late afternoon.
