Set sail on an oyster cruise through the Knysna Estuary, where you can also spot whales and dolphins during an exciting ocean safari. Journey from Oudtshoorn to Cape Town along the picturesque Route 62 and the beautiful Klein Karoo.
Guests will be picked up from their hotel and travel westward to Knysna, passing through Storm’s River and the stunning Tsitsikamma Forest, located in the heart of the Garden Route. A stop will be made at Storms River for a brief walk to the suspension bridge, where guests can soak in the breathtaking views. Lunch will be enjoyed in the Tsitsikamma Forest, surrounded by ancient trees, before continuing on to the charming town of Knysna.
Upon arrival and check-in, guests will embark on the Knysna oyster cruise to taste fresh oysters while enjoying a sundowner. Dinner will be available at a restaurant by the Knysna Estuary (at guests’ own expense).
Overnight stay at Protea Hotel by Marriott Knysna Quays or a similar accommodation – Breakfast included.
After breakfast, guests will head to Plettenberg Bay. They will set off from Lookout Beach on a marine adventure (weather permitting) focused on observing and conserving marine mammals. This Fair Trade Tourism certified ocean safari offers guests a fantastic opportunity to see whales, dolphins, and seals.
Once back on land, guests can enjoy a leisurely lunch (at their own expense). In the afternoon, a guided tour of the Qolweni Township, school, and crèche will take place. This community development initiative uses tour proceeds to support the education of children in Qolweni.
Guests are encouraged to bring along donations of pencils, books, and other stationery. The scenic drive back to Knysna allows for some leisure time or exploration of the village. In the early evening, guests can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants at the Knysna Waterfront (at their own expense).

Following breakfast, the journey continues to Oudtshoorn, located in the Klein Karoo, as we traverse the scenic Outeniqua Mountain Pass. Lunch will be on your own during the trip. Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital of the world, is the main town in the Klein Karoo. Guests will explore the stunning Cango Caves in the Cango Valley and then enjoy an olive tasting experience, complemented by Protea rosé or juice. Dinner will be served in this charming atmosphere.
Overnight at Surval Boutique Olive Estate or a similar accommodation – Dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, guests will visit a working ostrich farm for an engaging tractor tour on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn.
Leaving the farm, the tour follows the famous Route 62, known for its picturesque landscapes. Guests have the option to partake in a wine tasting (at their own expense) while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Tradouw Valley. Lunch will also be on your own during the journey. Guests are expected to arrive at a hotel in Cape Town by late afternoon.
