Upon arrival at Maun Airport, guests will be met and transferred by light aircraft (scheduled service) to Oddballs Camp.

Oddballs Camp is located in the heart of the Okavango Delta, a world heritage site and a spectacular ecosystem. The Okavango Delta is the 2nd largest inland delta in the world, and is famous for its breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. The seasonal floodwaters which are present from around May – September, transform the Delta into a myriad of waterways and floodplains. In low flood season, October– April, there are still areas of permanent water within the Delta and wildlife becomes more concentrated around the last remaining waterholes. Whatever the season that guests travel in, the Okavango Delta is a destination that is a highlight on most safari enthusiast’s bucket lists.

Oddballs offers accommodation is in simple but tasteful meru tents elevated on wooden decks to capture perfectly the delta views. Shaded by palm trees, the tents are all en-suite, with outdoor showers for some added adventure. The main area of the camp is furnished with comfortable seats with viewing decks overlooking the sweep of the delta, a perfect place to relax in between activities over a glass of wine or just catching up with other guests and share your delta experiences. Activities are water based, and include mokoro trails, and island bush walks.

After breakfast guests depart via scheduled transfer by light aircraft to Khwai, where the next 3 nights are spent at Sango Safari Camp.

The Khwai Concession is a large area dominated by mopane forests on the north eastern edge of the Okavango Delta. The Khwai Concession is a 1 800km (180 000 hectare) area, belonging to the local community, which is situated next to the Moremi Game Reserve. The area used to be a hunting concession, but is now actively managed as a conservation area. The local community now runs eco-tourism initiatives, to actively conserve the environment and manage the wildlife in the concession.

The Khwai River flows through the concession – it is the 1st major water source that animals migrating down from the Linyanti concession encounter and there is always a high concentration of game along the river. The area is made up of sweeping grasslands, riparian forests and floodplains. The floodplains are flooded most of the year and there are lagoons covered in blue and white water lilies. The riverine woodland consists of camelthorn, knobthorn, appleleaf and great stands of Leadwood trees.

Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River. Situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Khwai and bordering Moremi Game Reserve, the camp offers guests the perfect base from which to explore the wildlife and culture of this unique habitat. This intimate safari camp was named after the Sango Family – some of the original inhabitants of the Khwai area. The accommodation consists of just 6 luxury ensuite meru tents, each furnished in a classic style ensuring that time between activities is spent relaxing comfortably. Guests will enjoy the area on thrilling day and night game drives as well as enjoying a tranquil mokoro excursion.

After an early morning activity guests will be transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Kasane, followed by a short road transfer to Chobe Safari Lodge.

Chobe National Park is a true wildlife paradise and one of the best national parks in Southern Africa. It is also home to the highest concentration of elephants in Africa, experienced in it’s true enormity on the banks of the Chobe River. The Serondela area (or Chobe riverfront), situated in the extreme Northeast of the park, has as its main geographical features lush floodplains and dense woodland of mahogany, teak and other hardwoods.

The Chobe River is a major watering spot for large breeding herds of elephants, as well as families of giraffe, sable and cape African Buffalo.

The flood plains are the only place in Botswana where the puku antelope can be seen. Birding is also a highlight, especially during green season (November – March). When the river is in flood, spoonbills, ibis, various species of storks, ducks and other waterfowl flock to the area. This is likely Chobe’s most visited section, in large part because of its proximity to the Victoria Falls. The town of Kasane, situated just downstream, is the most important town of the region and serves as the northern entrance to the park.

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Enjoy boat cruises and game drives within the spectacular Chobe National Park, as well as a daytrip to the mighty Victoria Falls.

After breakfast, guests are taken by scheduled road transfer to Kasane Airport.
